Week 9 QB start em sit em recommendations - Fantasy football quarterback advice

Start QBs - Week 9

Top quarterbacks start recommendations for fantasy football

Jordan Love (QB – Packers vs Panthers, 10:00 AM FOX)

Home game at Lambeau, cold weather, and a Carolina defense that couldn’t stop a nose bleed last week.

  • Panthers giving up 250+ pass yards per game (bottom 10).

  • Love averaging 2 TDs per game at home.

  • Packers favored by nearly two touchdowns (-13.5 line).

He’s about to air it out early, then let Jacobs finish the job. Easy 20-plus-point week.

Justin Herbert (QB – Chargers @ Titans, 10:00 AM CBS)

Herbert versus that Titans secondary is like a cheat code.

  • Tennessee allowing the 3rd-most QB fantasy points this season.

  • Herbert averaging 296 yards and 2.4 TDs per game on the road.

  • Chargers pass rate sitting at 64 %.

Expect a classic “Herbert goes nuclear before halftime” kind of game. You’re not sitting him — ever.

Trevor Lawrence (QB – Jaguars @ Raiders, 1:05 PM FOX)

Vegas has no pass rush and even less coverage discipline. Lawrence is gonna cook.

  • Raiders allowing 274 pass yards per game (bottom 5).

  • Trevor completing 69 % of throws since Week 6.

  • Jaguars offense has cooled off but this Bye will help get things going again.

Start him and don’t overthink it.

Sam Darnold (QB – Seahawks @ Commanders, 5:20 PM NBC)

Start Sam freakin’ Darnold. He’s quietly playing efficient, confident football, and Washington’s defense is a fire drill.

  • Commanders giving up 23 fantasy PPG to QBs (bottom 3).

  • Darnold averaging 241 yards and 2 TDs the last three weeks.

  • Will feed JSN, recipe for success.

It’s not pretty, but it’s productive. He’s that “you laughed when I started him” play that wins you the week.

Sit QBs - Week 9

Jaxson Dart (QB – Giants vs 49ers, 10:00 AM CBS)

Listen, I love Dart’s fight, but his weapons are running low. 49ers have have a steady defense.

  • Giants’ lack of offensive weapons

  • San Fran is looking to bounce back after a poor performance last week.

Michael Penix Jr. (QB – Falcons @ Patriots, 10:00 AM CBS)

Penix can sling it, but the Patriots are playing like it’s 2018.

  • Pats are giving up only 1.2 passing TDs per game.

  • Falcons’ offense leaning heavily on the run (Bijan show).

  • Penix has averaged under 230 yards in his last three on the road.

The arm talent’s elite — the matchup’s not. Leave him on the bench and avoid the “oh no” turnovers.

C.J. Stroud (QB – Texans vs Broncos, 10:00 AM FOX)

Stroud’s looked good recently, but Denver’s defense is cooking again. This is one of those matchups where he plays fine and still kills your fantasy vibe.

  • Broncos defense leads league in sacks

  • Stroud’s fantasy output drops 25 % vs top-10 pass defenses.

He’s still a stud — just not this week.

Start em Sit em Running Backs - Week 8

Week 9 RB start em sit em recommendations - Fantasy football running back advice

Start RBs - Week 9

Top running backs start recommendations for fantasy football

DeAndre Swift (RB – Bears @ Bengals, 10:00 AM CBS)

Swift’s in that sweet spot where Chicago’s figured out he’s their offense. Bengals haven’t figured out how to stop anything that moves.

  • Cincy giving up 128 rush yds per game (bottom 10).

  • Swift averaging 19 touches a game since Week 6.

  • 4 TDs in his last 3.

It’s one of those games where he glides through a hole and you just yell “that’s why he’s RB1.”

Jaylen Warren (RB – Steelers vs Colts, 10:00 AM CBS)

Warren’s running like he’s trying to prove something. Indy’s run D isn’t built for this smoke.

  • Colts allowing 4.7 yards per carry.

  • Warren leads team in yards after contact.

  • Averaging 5.6 yards per touch since Week 5.

Kyren Williams (RB – Rams vs Saints, 1:05 PM FOX)

Dome game, fast track, Kyren season.

  • Saints giving up 118 rush yds per game.

  • Kyren averaging about 17-20 touches

  • He’s scoring this week, book it.

Workhorse usage + soft run D = automatic start. Simple math.

Javonte Williams (RB – Cowboys @ Cardinals, 5:15 PM ESPN)

Denver might’ve broken him once, but Dallas rebuilt him meaner. He’s got his burst back, and Houston’s middle is paper-thin.

  • Hes been running wild and scoring on top of that

  • AZ gives up rushing yards like no other!

  • Start this man!

Sit RBs - Week 9

Top running backs sit recommendations for fantasy football

Alvin Kamara (RB – Saints @ Rams, 1:05 PM FOX)

I love AK, but this matchup’s gross. Rams’ front 7 is mean, and the Saints offense looks like it’s stuck buffering.

  • Rams allowing under 90 rush yards a game.

  • Kamara averaging 3.7 YPC since Week 6.

  • Saints offense scoring under 19 points a week.

He’ll still get touches, but it’s all check-downs and no touchdowns.

Jordan Mason (RB – Vikings @ Lions, 10:00 AM FOX)

This one’s ugly. Detroit’s run D is built like a wall of refrigerators, and Mason’s volume’s been meh.

  • Aaron Jones is back

  • Vikings offense leaning pass-heavy in negative game scripts. You love the effort, not the production. Bench him before you get eight carries for 29 yards.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB – Giants vs 49ers, 10:00 AM CBS)

He is RB1 now but I dont see the Giants keeping this one close.

Niners are getting healthy and looking to bounce back from an ugly loss.

I am sitting him this week.

Start em Sit em Wide Receivers - Week 9

Week 9 WR start em sit em recommendations - Fantasy football wide receiver advice

Start WRs - Week 9

Top wide receivers start recommendations for fantasy football

Rome Odunze (WR – Bears @ Bengals, 10:00 AM CBS)

Odunze has not found the endzone lately, but I can bet he does this game. Every week, the chemistry with Caleb gets tighter, and this matchup’s ripe for another breakout.

  • Bengals giving up 247 pass yds per game (bottom 10 in NFL).

  • Odunze averaging over 5 targets a game

  • Bears offense trending toward 30 pass attempts a game.

He’s turning every slant into a first down and every deep ball into a prayer answered. You start him. Period.

Zay Flowers (WR – Ravens @ Dolphins, 5:15 PM AMZN)

Lamar is back! Miami’s defense bites on motion like it’s candy.

  • Dolphins allowing the 3rd-most yards after catch this season.

  • Flowers leading the team in targets and red-zone looks.

  • Averaging 15 YPR when lining up outside.

Prime-time Zay is about to cook some DBs on national TV. Plug him in and enjoy.

Jaylen Waddle (WR – Dolphins vs Ravens, 5:15 PM AMZN)

Start him — because Miami’s gonna need every big play they can get against Baltimore.

  • Ravens blitz heavy; that’s tailor-made for Waddle slants turning into 60-yard house calls.

  • Averaging 6 targets per game

  • Baltimore gives TDs to WRs as gifts

Start him with confidence.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – Cardinals vs Cowboys, 5:15 PM ESPN MNF)

Big-boy matchup, but Marvin doesn’t blink. Kyler’s gonna look for the hot read, and it’s always #18.

  • Cowboys defense allows the most points in the league; need I say more?

Start him and enjoy it.

Sit WRs - Week 9

Top wide receivers to sit recommendations for fantasy football

DJ Moore (WR – Bears @ Bengals, 10:00 AM CBS)

He is not being targeted enough to make a splash, I am sitting even if the matchup is juicy.

  • Moore’s target share dipped under 20 % since Odunze’s breakout.

  • Hasn’t topped 80 yards all season.

Keon Coleman (WR – Bills vs KC, 1:25 PM CBS)

AVOID!

  • Kansas city is a rough match up

  • Coleman is an afterthough in this offense

  • Allen will favor his slot WR

Jakobi Meyers (WR – Raiders vs Jaguars, 1:05 PM FOX)

Meyers wants to be traded and has expressed it. I think they grant him a trade.

Start em Sit em Tight Ends - Week 9

Week 9 TE start em sit em recommendations - Fantasy football tight end advice

Start TEs - Week 9

Top Tight Ends start recommendations for fantasy football

Dalton Kankaid (TE – Bills vs KC, 1:25 PM CBS)

Allen will need DK to step up big time if they want to get past one of the hottest teams of the NFL. I think he does!

Brock Bowers (TE – Radiers vs Jags, 1:05 PM FOX)

He’s back, he’s healthy! I am starting him!

Kyle Pitts (TE – Falcons @ Patriots, 10:00 PM CBS)

The Patriots have a hard time covering the middle and the TE position. Pitts will have a good game!

Sit TEs - Week 9

Tight Ends sit recommendations for fantasy football

Zach Ertz (TE – Commanders vs Seahawks, 5:20 PM NBC)

I dont like this match up at all! SEA has been locking up teams all season, I dont see Ertz breaking out here.

Juwan Johnson (TE – Saints vs Buccaneers, 4:05 PM FOX)

New Rookie QB and he didn’t look good, RUN.
